I haven't been too eager to put my name and face out there because it's just not my nature and also, I think there are more than enough huge egos in this business already and I certainly don't want to add to the problem.
I don't like my marketing to be "about me." I like to emphasize the opportunity, the product, the company, the team and the resources we provide. I usually market under a team name. I guess I am fairly shy in person and perhaps I have let too much of that carry over into my business.
I enjoy what I do and I don't take myself too seriously. I would like to have some fun with this little web site and present myself and what I am working on in a light-hearted and friendly manner.
I am an experienced marketer and website designer. I started out many, many years ago as a computer programmer. I left the workforce to stay home when my kids were born. I home schooled and did day care for a while and then when my marriage broke up (my ex was convicted of abusing our daughter), I started selling the advertising on church bulletins. I realized that I loved sales and marketing! The church bulletin company pulled out of the Chicago area just as I was having my first success as a multi-level marketer and the rest... as they say... is history!
When my divorce finally went through (after 4 years, don't ask!) I grabbed my kids and we fled to a very small town in northern Wisconsin. I was so grateful for my MLM business because it allowed me to pick up and move without worrying about finding work locally.
Two years ago my parents both became very ill. Originally from Chicago, they had retired down in Arizona 25 years earlier. But now they were in their 80's and my mother needed a great deal of care and my father had suddenly been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and now he needed care also. Once again, having my own MLM business saved my life, allowing me do go down there and get them, bring them up to live with me and care for them in my home. After a few months with us my mother passed away peacefully here at home. My father's Alzheimer's continues to get worse but he is still the sweetest funniest dearest man in the world. I thank God every day that I am able to be here for him when he needs me so much.
So now I (try to) balance my responsibilities to my kids and my Dad with my work as a marketer and web master... and sometimes find a few minutes to myself for fishing, kite flying and a few other hobbies.
